Senior Data Engineer

eConsulting is a leader in technology services for regulated industries, currently seeking a Senior Data Ingestion Engineer to join our high-impact team. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable, automated document processing workflows that handle complex data extraction and transformation tasks in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize end-to-end document data ingestion pipelines.
• Implement and refine OCR data extraction solutions using AWS Textract for various document formats.
• Design automated pipeline workflows using AWS Step Functions and manage cloud storage via AWS S3.
• Write efficient Python scripts and complex SQL queries to parse, clean, and transform incoming data.
• Set up automated alerts, performance monitoring, and error-handling routines using AWS CloudWatch.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working with the AWS platform.
• Proven track record of designing and maintaining automated document and data ingestion pipelines.
• Deep expertise in OCR technology, specifically AWS Textract, for complex document processing.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services including S3, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
