Senior Data Engineer

Summary:

The role of the Senior Data Engineer is critical for driving long-term growth and supporting the company’s shift towards climate neutrality by developing and maintaining industry-leading data platforms and products. The engineer will be responsible for enhancing the data infrastructure, thereby providing valuable insights that guide future improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining data pipelines to deliver value.

• Reviewing team members' code and providing constructive feedback.

• Communicating technical trade-offs to team members and architects.

• Writing effective documentation for processes and systems.

• Managing and reducing technical debt in the data systems.

Must Haves:

• Strong experience in building scalable data platforms on Azure, preferably with Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.

• Hands-on experience with production PySpark data pipelines.

• Experience with CI/CD and modern engineering practices.

• Ability to communicate proactively within a cross-functional team.

Nice to Haves:

• Interest in data science and machine learning.

• Familiarity with AI tools used in daily development.

Other Details:

• Location: 100% remote with at least six hours overlap with CET.

• Team: Cross-functional, with a mix of data engineers, scientists, software developers, and product owners.

• Workload: Full-time.
