Senior Data Engineer

Egen is a fast-growing, data-first company dedicated to solving complex engineering challenges through advanced technology platforms. We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our data practice, focusing on building scalable data platforms and API-driven integrations within the healthcare domain.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and manage API-driven integrations using REST, JSON, and event-based architectures.
• Work with healthcare data standards including FHIR, HL7, and EDI to deliver robust solutions.
• Build and optimize data architectures using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, performance, and reliability across all deployed systems.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for building distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience with API development and integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a client-facing environment.
