Senior Data Engineer (Healthcare domain)

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join an impactful project within the healthcare technology sector. You will be responsible for building and maintaining large-scale cloud data infrastructure that directly influences clinical decision-making and patient care outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and team leads to design efficient data pipelines and robust schemas.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform to support scalable data solutions.
• Design and implement self-service tooling and microservices to streamline complex data processes.
• Develop and maintain squad-specific data architectures following ETL and Data Lake principles.
• Analyze and organize disparate data sources into clean, actionable schemas for healthcare applications.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud computing services, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for distributed data processing and advanced SQL skills.
• Proven experience working with Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with stream processing technologies such as Kafka and Spark Structured Streaming.
• Strong communication skills with at least an Upper-Intermediate level of English.
