Senior Data Engineer (Cybersecurity platform)

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a high-impact cybersecurity project focused on protecting applications from automated attacks and malicious activity. You will play a key role in modernizing data infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and scalability of large-scale data pipelines within a global cybersecurity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing data processes with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Design, optimize, and support large-scale data pipelines and complex transformation processes.
• Identify technical gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies to drive modernization initiatives across the data platform.
• Optimize complex SQL queries to improve data processing latency and system performance.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to align on technical solutions and long-term platform evolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Data Engineering.
• Expert-level SQL skills with hands-on experience optimizing complex queries for performance.
• Strong practical experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Elastic stack technologies.
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
