Senior Data Engineer (Azure / Snowflake / DevOps)

Vecten is an AI-native technology partner specializing in building proprietary data infrastructure and deploying AI solutions for private capital and healthcare sectors. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and serve as the engineering backbone for a major US sports insurance client, helping them transition to a modern, Azure-based data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines in Airflow across Azure and Snowflake to replace legacy ETL systems.
• Productionize ML and scoring workflows from Jupyter notebooks into reliable, scheduled pipelines.
• Manage third-party data feeds and internal application databases while building reporting outputs for partners.
• Own DevOps for the data platform, including Azure infrastructure, IaC, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Support cloud migration efforts and infrastructure cost optimization.

Requirements

• Senior-level data engineering expertise with strong Python and SQL skills.
• Solid hands-on experience with Azure data services and production-grade Snowflake environments.
• Proven DevOps skills including Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• An AI-native mindset, utilizing modern tools to deliver solutions efficiently.
• Self-directed approach with the ability to scope ambiguous requests and deliver without heavy oversight.
• Fluent English and proactive communication skills for working with stakeholders.
