Senior Data Engineer (AML)

ITDS is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a project for a leading financial institution, focusing on the development and migration of data layers for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes. You will play a key role in centralizing data from various sources, optimizing ETL workflows, and designing scalable architectures that support advanced analytics and critical compliance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust ETL processes, data parsing, and architecture to support AML data centralization and migration.
• Develop efficient data pipelines using Python, SQL, and PySpark within Databricks environments.
• Integrate diverse data sources via API and batch processes to ensure seamless data flow and high accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Optimize existing ETL workflows and facilitate the migration to modern analytical environments.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and Databricks (PySpark).
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex ETL processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to create comprehensive business reports.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to document technical architecture clearly.
