Senior Data Designer

DataArt is seeking a Senior Data Designer to join our collaborative team in building and enhancing an enterprise data warehouse platform. You will act as a vital bridge between business stakeholders and engineering, translating complex business needs into scalable, governed, and well-documented data designs that support data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document Enterprise Data Warehouse objects, including data models, source-to-target mappings, and model diagrams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to onboard new data sources and validate design assumptions through data profiling.
• Clarify business requirements to ensure designs align with organizational needs and existing data structures.
• Define data quality rules and investigate reported data issues to propose effective design-level solutions.
• Participate in peer and design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain high standards.

Requirements

• Strong practical foundations in dimensional modeling and the ability to design warehouse models from raw source data.
• Hands-on experience producing detailed source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Confident SQL skills for data profiling, validation, and analysis.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Attention to detail and experience working within governed environments with established design standards.
