Senior Data Architect / Data Engineer

DCV Technologies is seeking a Senior Data Architect / Data Engineer to join a leading global SaaS company specializing in marketing automation. You will play a pivotal role in a strategic modernization initiative, designing a high-performance analytics architecture capable of processing billions of events to deliver real-time insights.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and analyze the existing multi-store reporting architecture to identify areas for improvement.
• Design scalable, high-performance reporting solutions and define data models optimized for analytical workloads.
• Develop efficient strategies for event enrichment, unique-count calculations, and large-scale aggregations.
• Provide architectural guidance for real-time analytics platforms and collaborate with engineering teams during implementation.
• Drive best practices regarding scalability, observability, performance optimization, and data quality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect in complex data environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Apache Druid, Apache Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
• Extensive knowledge of analytical data modeling and advanced SQL skills, including MySQL.
• Proven experience building real-time reporting platforms that handle billions of events.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to independently evaluate and improve existing architectures.
