Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (cloud sandboxes)

LocalStack is a fast-growing Series A startup revolutionizing cloud development by providing secure local sandboxes that simulate cloud environments. We are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our globally distributed team and help us build cutting-edge technology that enables developers and AI agents to ship high-quality applications more efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions for our customers.
• Optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency and high performance.
• Deploy and manage workloads using advanced containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and MicroVMs.
• Automate infrastructure management using tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or a similar infrastructure-focused role.
• 5+ years of deep expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, and VPC.
• Strong proficiency in Linux and at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Ruby.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS containerized services like ECS, EKS, and Fargate, alongside tools like Docker and Helm.
• Proven ability to manage CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.
