Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Security Engineer

Nortal is seeking a Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Security Engineer to assess and strengthen the security of a complex, multi-cloud environment. You will play a critical role in identifying security gaps, establishing hardening baselines, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve the overall security posture of our global infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the security of Azure and AWS infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters, networking, and key management services.
• Review edge security configurations, including WAF rules, TLS settings, and security headers across various platforms.
• Evaluate the security posture of virtual machine estates and legacy applications to ensure robust protection.
• Review Infrastructure as Code practices using tools like Terraform and Ansible to identify and remediate security gaps.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers to define and implement actionable security improvements using AI-assisted tools.

Requirements

• Approximately 8 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering with a strong focus on security.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure security and practical knowledge of AWS environments.
• Proven experience in securing Kubernetes environments and managing Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to assess complex environments, identify weaknesses, and provide clear remediation strategies.
• Experience using AI assistants to review infrastructure code and configuration for security vulnerabilities.
