Senior C Engineer (with C++)

B3 Consulting Poland is looking for a Senior C Engineer to join a team focused on the maintenance and development of an advanced analog and mixed-signal simulator. This role offers the opportunity to work on a mature, complex product where you will tackle challenging algorithmic problems related to electrical phenomena and circuit simulation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintenance and development of a simulator codebase consisting of approximately 80% C and 20% C++ code.
• Implementation and refinement of algorithms that translate electronic circuits into digital models, including handling reflections, noise, and electrical states.
• Working with matrix methods and systems of equations to solve complex simulation tasks.
• Taking ownership of specific product areas and engaging in international cooperation with teams in the US, including architecture discussions and code reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software development experience with fluency in C and proficiency in C++.
• Strong ability to navigate, read, and modify large, long-lived codebases.
• Expertise in manual data structure implementation and memory management without reliance on STL.
• Solid understanding of mathematical modeling, data structures, and algorithms.
• Foundational knowledge of electrical physics and circuit analysis.
• MSc or PhD degree in computer science, electronics, or a related field.
• English proficiency at a C1 level or higher.
