Key responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining open-source firmware solutions for diverse hardware platforms.
- Managing memory manually and ensuring proper initialization in embedded environments.
- Working with hardware-dependent concepts including registers, pointers, and linker scripts.
- Collaborating on large-scale codebases and navigating complex build systems.
- Utilizing non-interactive debugging techniques to analyze and resolve system issues.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C programming and manual memory management.
- Deep understanding of hardware-dependent concepts like data layout, stack, and endianness.
- Experience with the software development cycle, including git, cross-compilation, and toolchains.
- Ability to work effectively with large, multi-author codebases and legacy documentation.
- Familiarity with GNU Make, Kconfig, and general machine language concepts.
