Senior Business Analyst (K/M)

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the team developing Aquila Flex, a POS and back-office system for retail and hospitality businesses.
This role is focused on understanding clients' business processes, especially in retail, sales, store operations, promotions, payments, inventory, and reporting, and translating them into clear requirements for the product and delivery teams.
We are looking for someone business-oriented, comfortable working directly with clients, and able to think beyond standard templates. The right person can ask good questions, structure ambiguous needs, challenge assumptions, and help design practical solutions that fit real business operations.

Responsibilities

• leading workshops and analytical meetings with clients,

• analysing retail and sales processes and preparing As-Is and To-Be models,

• gathering and documenting business and functional requirements,

• preparing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional descriptions,

• identifying scope, dependencies, risks, and possible process improvements,
  cooperating with developers, QA, UX/UI, Product Owner, and Project Manager,

• supporting UAT, pilot deployments, and production rollouts.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.

• Strong understanding of retail, sales, store, inventory, promotion, or payment processes.

• Experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders.

• Ability to lead workshops, ask the right questions, and structure ambiguous information.

• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and user stories.

• Practical experience with process modeling, e.g., BPMN or UML.

• Independence, ownership, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

• English at a minimum B2 level.

Nice to Have

• Experience with POS, ERP, WMS, e-commerce, or hospitality systems.

• Experience analysing integrations between business systems.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and REST APIs.

• Experience preparing Statements of Work or implementation documentation.

• Experience in coordinating the work of other analysts, reviewing analytical documentation, or developing analysis standards,

• willingness to take on a more leading role in the business analysis area in the future,

• Knowledge of YouTrack, Jira, Confluence, or GitBook.
