Senior Business Analyst (Data) - Databricks

Dateonic is seeking a proactive Senior Business Analyst to join an agile delivery squad building an enterprise Loyalty Revenue Accounting solution on Databricks. You will act as a vital bridge between business stakeholders and technical engineering teams, translating complex financial logic into precise technical specifications for a global leader in experience innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document detailed data requirements for a Databricks-based platform, partnering with Finance product teams and architects.
• Specify business logic in precise, testable terms, including revenue allocations and accounting journal outputs.
• Produce comprehensive source-to-target mapping specifications covering field-level definitions and data transformations.
• Write clear user stories and unambiguous acceptance criteria in Jira to guide engineering and testing efforts.
• Identify data anomalies and edge cases early, proactively presenting solutions and business impact assessments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data-centric initiatives such as data platforms or data warehouses.
• Demonstrated track record of defining low-level data mapping logic and technical business rules.
• Strong ability to read, query, and reason about complex data models and schemas using SQL.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating between commercial finance teams and technical delivery squads.
• Hands-on experience working within iterative Agile delivery teams.
