Senior Backend Engineer

Alcor is a fast-scaling fintech company revolutionizing the dining experience by removing friction from the payment process. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and help build secure, scalable, and reliable payment products that serve restaurants and diners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure payment services, including gateways, transaction processing, and reconciliation flows.
• Deliver backend features using Golang across customer-facing and internal platforms.
• Build and maintain integrations with POS systems, payment providers, and third-party financial partners.
• Develop AI-powered and agentic workflows that retrieve data, interact with internal systems, and execute controlled actions.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and improve the speed, reliability, and security of payment and AI-powered workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience building production-grade backend software applications.
• Hands-on experience with Golang and strong knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable software solutions.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs, tool calling, or agentic workflows.
• Understanding of AI-system risks and experience with automated testing and observability.
