Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will join a high-impact team to build and scale core financial services, taking full ownership of features from design to deployment in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services, including APIs, automation pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Own features end-to-end by identifying problems, proposing solutions, and iterating based on real-world usage.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to define technical solutions and advocate for improved development patterns.
• Write clean, reliable code while maintaining a high velocity of delivery.
• Mentor team members through code reviews and technical leadership to elevate overall engineering standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience shipping production-grade backend systems, services, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in at least one core language such as TypeScript, Python, or PHP.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, containerization, and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to operate with high autonomy, taking full ownership of complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical tradeoffs clearly.
