Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Go)

Acaisoft is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a high-impact initiative for a global leader in Intelligent Observability platforms. You will play a key role in migrating core backend services from Intel architecture to ARM-based processors, ensuring optimal performance and scalability in a cloud-native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor, optimize, and migrate core Java and Go services to run efficiently on ARM CPU architectures like AWS Graviton and Azure Cobalt.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and hardware-level instruction behavior during the x86 to ARM migration process.
• Work with Kubernetes and EKS to deploy, monitor, and scale migrated workloads within enterprise-grade environments.
• Ensure seamless CI/CD delivery pipelines and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform and AWS services.
• Collaborate closely with cloud architecture and platform security teams across global time zones.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building scalable services using Java and/or Go.
• Practical experience with AWS services, specifically EKS and EC2, alongside Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CPU architectures, including x86 versus ARM, and performance tuning for cloud-native applications.
• Working knowledge of Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD automation practices.
• Openness to occasional pre-scheduled evening calls to sync with international stakeholders.
