Senior Backend Engineer II

Tabby is a leading fintech company reshaping how people shop, earn, and save by providing flexible payment solutions. We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join an early-stage initiative focused on building an internal AI agent platform that will drive automation and innovation across our global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend services for our AI agent platform and supporting microservices.
• Participate in architectural decision-making and technology selection.
• Stay current with AI agent frameworks, conducting experiments to improve platform capabilities.
• Optimize agent creation, quality evaluation, and system performance under high load.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build a user-friendly and impactful product.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2 years with Golang and 2 years with Python.
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems within a microservices architecture.
• Strong proficiency with backend tools such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and write clean, maintainable code.
• Strong communication skills in English (B2 level or higher).
