Senior Backend Engineer - Full remote

emagine Polska is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the backend architecture, ensuring high-quality code standards, and implementing robust business logic for complex systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal architects to finalize architecture documentation and prepare technical foundations for decision-making.
• Implement business-logic backend modules using Java and Quarkus.
• Design database schemas and ensure transaction safety within PostgreSQL environments.
• Document and implement REST APIs according to OpenAPI 3.0 standards.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain a minimum of 80% test coverage across the codebase.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Senior Backend Engineer with a focus on Java and Quarkus.
• Strong expertise in modular architectures or microservices and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in containerization tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of security practices, including OWASP Top 10, OAuth2, and OIDC frameworks.
• Native Portuguese speaker or C2 proficiency, combined with a good command of English for documentation and team collaboration.
