Senior Backend Developer

Squadio is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of complex backend systems. You will play a key role in building scalable services and ensuring the reliability of our applications in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex backend systems and web applications using Python, Django, and Go.
• Build and manage robust APIs to support seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services.
• Write clean, modular, and efficient code while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for security and data protection.
• Mentor junior developers and stay informed about the latest technologies to improve development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python and Django, plus 3+ years with GoLang.
• In-depth knowledge of databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and experience with BigQuery and Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency with distributed task queues like Celery, RESTful API design, and cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
• Strong skills in Bash scripting, Linux environments, Git, and testing frameworks like PyTest.
