Senior Backend Developer (Elixir)

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve reliable, scalable backend solutions for our core Applicant Tracking System.
• Develop new capabilities while modernizing existing codebases to increase performance and maintainability.
• Design and implement solutions that balance technical quality with business needs.
• Take ownership of features, ensuring they are well-tested and meet high quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend, Design, QA, and DevOps to solve complex problems.

Requirements

• Commercial experience with Elixir, or strong backend experience in Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, or PHP with a motivation to learn Elixir.
• Experience designing scalable applications and a solid understanding of PostgreSQL.
• General knowledge of Elasticsearch and RabbitMQ.
• Strong debugging skills and a pragmatic approach to maintaining existing applications.
• A product mindset with the ability to think about user impact and technical trade-offs.
