Senior Back-End (API) Engineer

Ntiative is recruiting for a US-based technology company that is transforming the real estate industry through a comprehensive platform integrating CRM, marketing, and business workflows. We are seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer to join a distributed team and take full ownership of high-impact features within a data-intensive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Building and evolving scalable backend services and complex APIs.
• Working extensively with Node.js, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Writing pure SQL and working directly with the database to ensure optimal performance.
• Designing robust solutions for data-intensive production applications.
• Making architectural decisions focused on reliability, maintainability, and performance.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in backend and API engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, including the ability to write pure SQL without relying on ORMs.
• Proven track record of building scalable, data-intensive production systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly.
