Senior Azure Data Engineer | Remote

DCV Technologies is seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer to join a strategic team focused on foundational services for global digital products. This fully remote role involves working at the intersection of Core Products and the Group Data Platform, requiring a proactive professional capable of building robust data solutions from the ground up in an Azure and Databricks environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines for reporting and analytics use cases.
• Review and refactor existing reporting pipelines to improve reliability, performance, and observability.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with platform standards regarding data modelling, code quality, CI/CD, and security.
• Own SRE practices for data pipelines, including diagnosing incidents and implementing durable corrective actions.

Requirements

• At least eight years of professional experience in Data Engineering with ownership of production-grade pipelines.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Solid understanding of modern data-platform and lakehouse principles, including medallion architecture.
• Experience with DataOps practices such as version control, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a distributed international team.
