Link Group is seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a data-centric project focused on the validation of laboratory instrument data converted into the Allotrope Simple Model (ASM) format. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining automated validation frameworks, ensuring the quality and consistency of data across various releases.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Robot Framework validation suites for laboratory instrument data.
- Develop Python readers and custom Robot Framework keywords for diverse data formats including JSON, CSV, and XML.
- Perform comprehensive testing, including functional, regression, and UAT, across various instrument datasets.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify converter defects and source-data issues.
- Prepare and publish detailed test summary and defect reports for technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation, with at least 2 years in data-centric validation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework and Python development.
- Proficiency in SQL for data reconciliation and quality analysis.
- Experience validating source-to-target mappings across structured and semi-structured formats.
- Knowledge of JSON Schema, semantic data models, and schema-driven validation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and defect management in Jira and Xray.
