Senior ASR Engineer / Speech AI & Machine Learning (m/w/d)

emagine is looking for a Senior ASR Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to cutting-edge research in speech technology. This role focuses on the intersection of research and development, requiring a deep passion for innovation and hands-on expertise in Automatic Speech Recognition, machine learning, and language technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct experiments to assess ASR model quality and analyze the impact of parameter tuning on speech recognition accuracy.
• Identify, optimize, and cluster training data to improve model performance.
• Analyze product usage data to determine potential improvements in ASR processes, methods, and techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality results.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field to enhance ASR performance across multiple languages.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in computer science, computational linguistics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in speech technology or natural language processing.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with end-to-end ASR and language modeling techniques.
• Solid understanding of machine learning principles, algorithms, and statistical methods.
• Proficient software engineering skills, including Python and shell scripting, with experience in Linux and Windows environments.
