Senior Application Architect

emagine Polska is seeking a Senior Application Architect to join an international Digital Document Management team. You will take ownership of the system-level architecture for a critical enterprise document service, focusing on designing scalable, secure, and highly available backend solutions within a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the system-level architecture of backend components while ensuring architectural consistency across the digital document services landscape.
• Design new components and technical solutions with a strong focus on scalability, availability, security, and performance.
• Translate solution architecture into clear technical designs and development tasks while mentoring developers on clean architecture and design patterns.
• Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Product Managers, and DevSecOps teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Define and maintain system design documentation and support security-by-design architectural best practices.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of overall IT experience, including 3–4+ years in a Technical or Application Architect role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of architectural patterns such as Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, and CQRS.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills for working in international, cross-cultural teams.
