Senior Android Engineer

Smartpatient, part of the Redcare Pharmacy family, is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to help shape the future of our mobile health applications. You will take full ownership of our Android development, driving architecture, scalability, and the long-term evolution of our products to improve the health of millions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable Android applications using modern architecture patterns like MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
• Drive the adoption of Jetpack Compose to build declarative and responsive user interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality, user-centric features.
• Own the delivery pipeline, including CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
• Define and evolve the app’s technical vision, ensuring high performance and long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in Android development with deep expertise in Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, and dependency injection frameworks like Hilt or Dagger.
• Strong knowledge of clean architecture principles, modularization, and design patterns.
• Proven ability to write maintainable, testable code using JUnit, Espresso, and MockK.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong focus on app performance and user experience.
