Senior Android Developer

Kyotu Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to join an international project focused on the development of a native Android application. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about creating inclusive digital experiences and has a strong background in implementing accessibility features within production-grade mobile software.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a native Android application using Kotlin.
• Implement and optimize accessibility features using Android Accessibility APIs and Compose Semantics.
• Ensure full compatibility with TalkBack and other essential Android accessibility services.
• Improve accessibility focus management and navigation across all application screens.
• Apply relevant accessibility standards and best practices, including WCAG 2.1/2.2.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in native Android development.
• Strong practical experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose or Android Views.
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing accessibility features in production Android applications.
• Strong practical knowledge of TalkBack, content descriptions, roles, and states.
• Good command of English and ability to collaborate effectively in an international team.
