Senior Analytics Engineer (Finance Data)

Finom is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our central data team and serve as a key partner for our treasury, reconciliation, and accounting departments. In this role, you will design and scale the data models that drive our financial operations, ensuring high data quality and implementing automation to streamline complex workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with treasury, reconciliation, and accounting teams to understand their processes and provide robust data support.
• Build and scale reliable data products for cash flows, liquidity, and reconciliation to minimize manual exceptions.
• Design and evolve the finance data model, ensuring proper documentation, lineage, and testing for long-term scalability.
• Implement automation and agent-based workflows to reduce recurring manual tasks within finance operations.
• Set data standards and quality checks while integrating various financial systems into our central data architecture.

Requirements

• Proven experience working closely with finance functions such as treasury, accounting, or FP&A.
• Expert-level SQL skills and strong proficiency in dimensional or semantic data modeling.
• Extensive experience with ETL processes and data warehouse or lakehouse environments.
• Consultative mindset with the ability to translate complex business processes into high-value data solutions.
• Deep understanding of financial reporting, cash management, and reconciliation cycles.
