Senior Analytics & Semantic Layer Engineer

emagine Polska is seeking a Senior Analytics & Semantic Layer Engineer to join a project focused on building an AI-first semantic layer. This role is essential for ensuring that business metrics maintain consistent meanings across all product interfaces, dashboards, and AI agents, effectively bridging the gap between raw data and trusted business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the semantic modeling approach for the core data platform.
• Define governed metrics in collaboration with Finance, Product, and Sales stakeholders.
• Translate complex business definitions into tested, reusable technical implementations.
• Develop and maintain analytical products and dashboards for internal teams.
• Establish robust documentation, metadata, and data lineage to ensure clarity around business definitions.

Requirements

• Strong background in analytics engineering or advanced data modeling.
• Expert-level SQL skills and experience with modern transformation frameworks like dbt.
• Deep understanding of dimensional, canonical, and semantic modeling methodologies.
• Proven experience in building production-grade BI and analytical products.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business concepts into precise, technical definitions.
