Senior AI/ML & Data Engineer (Azure Databricks)

RITS is seeking an experienced Senior AI/ML & Data Engineer to join a long-term international project. This role focuses on designing and developing scalable data solutions, AI-driven automation, and OCR-based document processing pipelines within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data processing solutions using Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support enterprise data integration.
• Develop Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and OCR-based solutions for automated data extraction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement AI-driven process automation initiatives.
• Contribute to solution architecture and promote DataOps best practices within the team.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in Data Engineering and modern data architectures.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake.
• Solid SQL skills, including experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Practical knowledge of OCR, Intelligent Document Processing, and Azure AI services.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning projects, NLP, and text analytics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international, distributed environment.
