Senior AI Platform Engineer

N-iX is a global software development company connecting over 2,400 tech professionals across 40 countries. We are currently seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join a fast-growing European fintech client, where you will design, build, and operate shared GenAI infrastructure that empowers product teams to deliver innovative financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain shared GenAI infrastructure, including LLM routing, vector search, RAG systems, and MCP gateways.
• Implement AI observability and evaluation tooling to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Apply distributed-systems fundamentals such as async workflows, idempotency, and robust failure design.
• Maintain an AI-security mindset by addressing prompt injection, PII handling, and credential management.
• Manage the Context Development Lifecycle to generate, evaluate, and distribute context for AI agents.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional squad as a hands-on contributor to multiply team output and share best practices.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Python with the ability to contribute to both languages.
• Proven experience in building and operating shared GenAI infrastructure and production-grade LLM APIs.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and agent engineering with concrete evidence of building custom tooling.
• Familiarity with AI-security principles and handling sensitive data in production environments.
• Comfortable working in a modern, fast-paced engineering environment using tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
