Senior AI Engineer

Sigmoidal is a pioneering AI company that has been deploying advanced AI systems for leading US private equity firms and fintechs since 2016. We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our team and take full ownership of end-to-end AI product development, from initial business requirements to production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI initiatives by collaborating directly with investment and deal teams to solve complex business problems.
• Transform unstructured data, such as investment memos and reports, into structured datasets for AI processing.
• Design, build, and deploy agentic AI systems and models that provide measurable value in financial decision-making.
• Convert experimental AI prototypes into secure, maintainable, and production-ready software tools.
• Monitor and optimize the accuracy, performance, and cost-efficiency of all deployed AI systems.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a software engineer with a proven track record of shipping AI systems used in daily work.
• Proficiency in using AI coding agents and modern development tools like Claude and Cursor.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate technical work based on business outcomes.
• Experience or comfort working with financial data, with a background in finance or consulting being a significant advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English for daily communication with international partners.
