Senior AI Engineer

XM is expanding its engineering team and is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help build and scale next-generation applications. You will work at the forefront of Generative AI and agentic systems, creating innovative solutions that are used both internally and by our global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain intelligent backend systems that integrate LLMs, retrieval systems, and custom APIs.
• Ensure high standards for code quality, security, and maintainability through rigorous code reviews and best practices.
• Research and integrate emerging technologies, such as vector databases and agent frameworks, to enhance AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, end-to-end production-ready AI solutions.
• Monitor and optimize existing AI systems for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional backend development experience using Golang, Java, or Python.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying production-grade GenAI applications.
• Strong proficiency with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks like LangChain or Genkit.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment, and software development life cycle.
