Senior AI Engineer

DevsData LLC is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join an innovative early-stage healthtech company. You will be instrumental in building AI-powered software that integrates conversational interfaces, voice AI, and digital avatars to optimize healthcare workflows through advanced large language models and agentic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design the target architecture for a scalable, multi-customer AI platform.
• Develop agentic LLM features using OpenAI or Claude models, including RAG and tool calling.
• Build robust backend services and APIs using Python.
• Integrate voice AI components and digital avatar technology into the product experience.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring on AWS.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience building systems with LLM platforms and agentic frameworks.
• Production experience implementing RAG architectures and complex API integrations.
• Proven track record of building and shipping production web applications.
• Practical experience with voice AI technologies including speech-to-text and text-to-speech.
