Senior AI Engineer (Generative AI / LLM Systems)

Cerebre is building an AI-native platform that helps industrial companies understand and operate complex facilities. We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help us integrate advanced AI capabilities into our PlantGraph knowledge graph, enabling natural language interaction and graph-aware reasoning over engineering systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design systems that allow LLMs to interpret and reason over PlantGraph, combining graph queries and engineering data into reliable outputs.
• Build chat-based experiences that allow users to explore facility systems, navigate diagrams, and query equipment relationships.
• Develop orchestration systems that combine graph queries, engineering documentation, and operational context for accurate AI outputs.
• Design APIs and tools that allow AI agents to interact with the platform in an observable and production-safe manner.
• Turn prototypes into scalable production systems with robust evaluation, monitoring, and reliability frameworks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ML engineering, or applied AI.
• Strong experience building production-grade AI systems that combine structured data with LLMs.
• Deep knowledge of RAG, embeddings, and retrieval systems.
• Strong Python and backend engineering skills with experience designing scalable APIs.
• Ability to take ownership of complex, ambiguous problems in a high-impact domain.
