Senior Accounting & Finance Data Analyst

Tala is an AI-native credit infrastructure company dedicated to empowering the global majority by providing accessible financial services. We are seeking a Senior Accounting & Finance Data Analyst to serve as the primary analytics owner for our accounting and finance reporting functions across multiple international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the data logic and queries for monthly close reporting, tax filings, and cash-rollforward schedules.
• Provide comprehensive support for external audits, including loan-level listings and guarantee asset/liability reporting.
• Document reporting processes to ensure full traceability and audit-readiness, moving away from legacy systems toward version-controlled infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to migrate reporting to governed, scalable dbt models.
• Ensure reconciliation accuracy across multi-entity and multi-market regulatory environments.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in data or analytics roles with a focus on financial or accounting reporting.
• Expert-level SQL skills and proficiency with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.
• Proven experience working directly with external auditors, specifically regarding statutory audit cycles and reconciliation requirements.
• Strong ability to document complex business logic and functional requirements for repeatable solutions.
• Intermediate proficiency in Python and a mindset geared toward process standardization and automation.
