Senior Accountant

Spotter Labs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with robust US GAAP and controllership experience to anchor our accounting function during a period of significant growth. You will serve as a technical expert, providing deep accounting judgment and rigorous control structures to ensure absolute technical accuracy and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee fixed assets and capitalization, including refining policies, managing disposals, and evaluating impairment considerations.
• Review complex transactions and financing arrangements to determine definitive accounting treatments before audit.
• Strengthen month-end close processes, enforce strict cut-off procedures, and improve accrual methodologies.
• Design and enforce elevated reconciliation standards and review controls across all key balance sheet accounts.
• Partner in software migration projects by documenting processes, identifying control gaps, and redesigning workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Financial Auditor, or Assistant Controller with deep expertise in US GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with QuickBooks Online or NetSuite.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and apply high-level accounting judgment.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting clear findings to leadership and external auditors.
