Senior Accountant

micro1 is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to take ownership of our general ledger and month-end close processes. You will play a critical role in our financial reporting function, ensuring the accuracy of our books and providing the financial data integrity necessary for informed organizational decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are properly substantiated.
• Support external audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA certification is preferred.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience with a focus on G/L and month-end close.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
