Senior / Staff Platform Engineer (AWS · Infrastructure · Distributed System)

Blue Language Labs is building the trust layer for the AI economy, creating a protocol for verifiable, multi-party agreements. We are looking for a Senior or Staff Platform Engineer to own our distributed, event-driven infrastructure end-to-end, ensuring correctness and reliability in a high-stakes environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own all AWS infrastructure, including architecture, security, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure zero manual steps from commit to production.
• Build robust monitoring and alerting systems to surface latency, processing failures, and delivery anomalies.
• Manage PostgreSQL at scale, including migration strategies, performance tuning, and connection pooling.
• Enforce IAM least-privilege principles and maintain network isolation across all services.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and operating production-grade infrastructure.
• Deep AWS expertise with operational instincts for compute, messaging, and storage.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code discipline using tools like CDK, SAM, or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including idempotency, ordering, and partial failure recovery.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Lambda, SQS, Redis, and S3.
