Security Architect (f/m/d)

ITRex is a team of AI pioneers and software experts building real-world solutions for global clients. We are currently seeking a Security Architect to take full technical ownership of security and privacy assurance for a self-custody crypto wallet project during its critical initial delivery phase.

Key responsibilities

• Own and extend the threat model across device, backend, and third-party integrations to ensure a secure, audit-ready build.
• Defend the self-custody boundary by ensuring private keys and seed phrases remain inaccessible from the server side.
• Conduct line-by-line internal security reviews of the signing path and drive mobile hardening, including anti-tamper and biometric gating.
• Implement fail-closed AML and sanctions screening, alongside pre-signing phishing and drainer risk scans.
• Manage the secure SDLC, including SAST, secret scanning, and SBOM generation, while acting as the technical counterpart to independent auditors.
• Participate in on-call rotations for incident response and define bug-bounty scopes to ensure continuous security monitoring.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in mobile security, including iOS Secure Enclave, Android Keystore, RASP, and reverse engineering tools like Frida.
• Strong knowledge of applied cryptography, including BIP standards, ECDSA, AES-GCM, and HSM operations.
• Experience with cloud security, specifically AWS services, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and secure service-to-service design.
• Understanding of digital-asset security, including EVM transaction structures, ERC-4337 account abstraction, and smart-account wallets.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, and NIST CSF, alongside data privacy requirements.
• Excellent written communication skills in English, with the ability to work in a role requiring consistent overlap with US Central Time.
