SDET/QA Automation Lead (remote-only, worldwide remote)

CloudLinux is a leading provider of security and stability solutions for hosting providers, dedicated to protecting shared, VPS, and dedicated servers. We are seeking an experienced SDET Automation Lead to transform our quality assurance function into a strategic, AI-powered engineering team that ensures excellence at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-quarter QA strategy, focusing on systematic test coverage and risk-based prioritization.
• Mentor and lead a team of 6 SDETs, fostering a culture of automation and end-to-end ownership.
• Architect and maintain robust test infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines and VM orchestration.
• Implement AI and machine learning solutions to optimize QA workflows and improve test reliability.
• Establish clear career growth paths and equitable operational processes for the team.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in test automation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing a team of 5+ engineers.
• Deep expertise in testing Linux-based products, including RPM, systemd, and multi-distro environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python, as it is the core language for our test frameworks and tooling.
• Proven experience in CI/CD pipeline architecture and integrating AI/ML into quality assurance processes.
• Strong strategic mindset with a data-driven approach to setting targets and measuring team performance.
