SAP Specialist (Business Data Cloud)

About project

For our client operating in the pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for a SAP Specialist (Business Data Cloud). You will lead the technical strategy and operational framework for Client's BDC ecosystem, driving the modernization of legacy SAP BW/4HANA environments to SAP Datasphere. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between foundational platform engineering, regulatory compliance, and business domain-driven data productization. You will join a forward-thinking team dedicated to building scalable, inclusive, and cutting-edge data solutions that empower global healthcare discovery.

Work Mode: Remote from the territory of Poland

Expectations

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 5+ years of professional experience in data architecture or platform engineering, with a proven track record of migrating legacy SAP systems to cloud-native platforms like SAP Datasphere.

• Deep technical understanding of SAP BDC Datasphere architecture, administration, and hands-on data modeling, paired with strong proficiency in SQL for query optimization.

• Solid experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) alongside associated network and security protocols, ensuring all data connectivity adheres to TLS 1.2+ encryption standards.

• Strong background designing CI/CD pipelines for data products, enabling smooth, automated environment promotions across multi-tier landscapes.

• Familiarity with Data Mesh concepts, domain-driven design, and possess a demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical architectural specifications.

• Exhibit excellent collaboration and communication skills in English to work effectively across Data Engineering, Business, and Security teams to enforce global platform governance standards.
