Job Vacancy: SAP MDG (ABAP Development)

(6 Months Contract – Netherlands preferred / Remote within Europe)

Location: Amsterdam 2 days onsite, Netherlands (Hybrid working model)
Duration: 6 months (initial contract, extension possible)
Start Date: ASAP
Eligibility: EU citizenship is mandatory

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG ABAP Developer to join our team for an initial 6-month project. The ideal candidate is preferably based in the Netherlands. However, we are open to consultants working remotely from another European country, provided they hold EU citizenship.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and optimization of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) within a complex enterprise landscape. You will ensure master data is consistently governed, consolidated, and distributed across multiple systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Hands-on development and enhancement of SAP MDG solutions using ABAP

• Design and implement MDG-related developments, workflows, and validations

• Integrate MDG with other SAP modules and external systems

• Collaborate closely with functional and technical stakeholders

• Provide technical support during implementation and ongoing MDG operations

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards are maintained

Key Requirements

• Proven experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)

• Understanding of ABAP Development

• Experience integrating MDG into broader SAP landscapes

• Solid understanding of master data management (MDM) principles and processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience working in international environments is an advantage

• EU citizenship (mandatory)

Nice to Have

• Experience with additional SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, FI, MM, SD)

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5

• Experience with cloud-based data governance solutions

• Broader technical knowledge of SAP integration technologies
