SAP IS-U Consultant

Red Global is currently supporting a major utilities client in the EU, seeking an experienced Senior SAP IS-U Integration Consultant and Technical Lead to join a large-scale integration programme. This role focuses on leading technical integration activities across multiple workstreams within a dynamic project environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and define interface contracts, mappings, and validation rules across SAP IS-U modules.
• Develop or enhance RFC-enabled Function Modules, BAPIs, and ABAP wrappers while ensuring compatibility with S/4HANA and OData.
• Coordinate SAP transports across Development, Test, and Production environments.
• Support data migration, delta extraction, reconciliation, and error handling processes.
• Troubleshoot SAP integration, authorisation, and performance issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Strong SAP IS-U implementation or integration experience, specifically with SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8.
• Proficiency in ABAP development, RFCs, BAPIs, REST APIs, and SAP Gateway/OData.
• Solid understanding of SAP Authorisations and Transport Management.
• Proven experience in the utilities industry, including work with high-volume master and transactional data.
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
