SAP FI AP/AR Consultant – Slovakia

We are looking for an experienced SAP FI Consultant to support our client’s finance organization within Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes for the Slovak business unit.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, independent, and communicative professional with a strong understanding of SAP financial processes who can collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and IT teams.

The primary focus will be on providing functional support for SAP FI AP/AR processes, analyzing business requests, resolving process and system issues, and supporting process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide SAP FI functional support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes for the Slovak business unit.

• Support finance users in their day-to-day work with SAP FI.

• Analyze business requests and identify suitable SAP FI solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve process- and system-related issues within the AP/AR area.

• Collaborate closely with business, finance, and IT teams.

• Participate in the analysis, testing, and implementation of process improvements and system enhancements.

• Support user acceptance testing and validate implemented solutions.

• Document solutions, system changes, and agreed actions.

• Proactively take ownership of assigned topics and ensure their timely resolution.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SAP FI Consultant or SAP Finance Consultant.

• Strong hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

• Good understanding of end-to-end financial and accounting processes.

• Experience providing functional SAP FI support to business users.

• Ability to analyze both business and technical issues and translate them into effective SAP FI solutions.

• Experience with testing SAP FI changes and process improvements.

• Strong sense of ownership, independence, and a proactive approach to work.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with business users and IT teams.

• Fluent English, both spoken and written.

• Availability for approximately 70% FTE from 1 July until the end of the year.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting business units in Slovakia.

• Knowledge of Slovak or another Central European language.

• Experience working in an international project environment.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA.

Ideal candidate profile

The ideal candidate is a strong SAP FI AP/AR specialist who can independently support finance users, understands end-to-end AP and AR processes, and can quickly take ownership of business and system-related topics.

The most important qualities are solid SAP FI AP/AR expertise, a strong support mindset, proactive communication, and the ability to work independently in an international environment.

Engagement scope

The assignment will focus on SAP FI AP/AR functional support for the Slovak business unit.

The consultant will work approximately 70% FTE from 1 July until the end of the year.
