SAP Data Engineer

Miele Global Services is looking for a skilled SAP Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and operation of advanced data products. You will play a key role in modernizing our data architecture and ensuring seamless integration across our SAP ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate reusable data products using SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud.
• Evaluate SAP extraction and integration approaches, focusing on performance, data quality, and operational impact.
• Modernize existing SAP BW and BW/4HANA data models and flows by designing future-proof architectures.
• Collaborate closely with data architects, external consultants, business experts, and IT teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytical data modeling within the SAP environment.
• Strong understanding of SAP source systems and data structures, with a preference for S/4HANA experience.
• Proficiency in ABAP and SQL, combined with a deep understanding of semantic modeling and data harmonization.
• Knowledge of Python, ABAP OO, SQLScript, and CDS is highly desirable, alongside an understanding of data security and GDPR.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and challenge existing solutions to drive improvement.
