Mirantis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team building next-generation, cloud-native bare-metal orchestration platforms for AI environments. You will play a key role in developing control planes that power high-density infrastructure, working within a T-shaped engineering model that emphasizes deep technical expertise and cross-domain collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain production-grade control plane microservices and custom Kubernetes operators using Rust and Go.
- Author architectural specifications, system sequence diagrams, and clean API schemas for complex infrastructure components.
- Develop integration modules for modern network operating systems and DPU hardware platforms.
- Instrument services with OpenTelemetry to ensure robust observability and perform systematic root-cause analysis.
- Participate in rigorous code reviews and maintain high test coverage through mock-driven testing practices.
Requirements
- Mastery of Rust (Tokio, Tonic, Axum) and strong proficiency in Go.
- Deep expertise in datacenter networking protocols including BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, and L3VNI.
- Hands-on experience with DPU architectures, NVIDIA DOCA, and Host-Based Networking.
- Strong background in Linux systems internals, boot infrastructure (PXE/iPXE), and hardware management via Redfish/IPMI.
- Experience with Kubernetes control planes and custom controller development.
