Ruby on Rails Developer– Senior

SOFTSWISS is looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our high-load iGaming platform. We are seeking a proactive professional who leverages modern AI-augmented workflows to build scalable, reliable gaming solutions used by millions of players worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve Ruby on Rails services including high-throughput APIs, payment flows, and real-time game integrations.
• Utilize AI coding assistants for scaffolding, refactoring, and test generation while maintaining full ownership of code quality.
• Integrate LLM-based features into the product to enhance fraud detection, automation, and internal analytics.
• Optimize system performance by profiling hot paths, tuning PostgreSQL queries, and implementing effective caching strategies.
• Mentor team members and establish standards for the responsible and effective use of AI tools in development.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial Ruby on Rails experience with a deep understanding of Ruby internals and Rails conventions.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL, including query planning and managing large tables without downtime.
• Solid grasp of distributed systems, message queues, background jobs, and caching mechanisms like Redis.
• Proven ability to critically evaluate, verify, and debug AI-generated code to ensure production reliability.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Sentry.
